1975 Alfa Romeo GTAm Recreation

Features Información general

This is a rare opportunity to buy a fully specced and sorted high performance (over 170 bhp) historic rally car, which also doubles as a comfortable but dramatic road car, immaculately presented and equivalent to new condition.
The car has done one local regularity rally as a shake-down, and performed perfectly. It has covered less than 500kms since its completion. Specification is massive, and all parts were bought new from leading specialists in Europe and the USA. The car benefits from everything which Italclassics has learned about 105 Alfas in his 40 years with the cars.
Body/chassis: The car was built from the ground up using a 1975 2000 GTV donor (VIN AR105340004259). It has been registered as a historic vehicle in Spain, and all modifications described have been homologated by Spanish traffic authorities. The car was built from the ground up (photos of the whole process can be supplied) in 2011. All external panels are new, (using best-quality panels) only the roof panel being original. All floors panels, boot floor panel and sills were replaced. A new laminated glass windshield was fitted. All other glass is original, in excellent condition. All rubbers are new throughout the car.
The car was built as a wide-body GTAm replica. The fiberglass blisters were fitted flush over new wings and the body finished in SEAT blue /white nose/white roll cage. Inside, the car has a 6 point bolted Sparco rollcage fitted. It has Sparco bucket seats, Sparco 4 point belts, 36cm Sparco racing wheel and is fitted with an intercom system. The original customer specified a fully finished interior, so there are excellent quality carpets, and all interior cards are new, trimmed in black. No rear seat is fitted, the space being trimmed in period correct diamond vinyl . New GTA type headlining is fitted.
Extra instrumentation and switches appropriate to a rally car are fitted. The car was rewired to rally standards and everything works. Extra lighting is provided via auxiliary SIM long distance lights and smaller halogen corner lights.
Car is fitted with a new 50 litre aluminium FIA CLASSIC-ALFA fuel tank and electrical FACET race fuel pump
Engine: The engine has been built by Italclassic in line with latest theory and practise for Alfa Nord twin cam engines. It was conceived to deliver good power whilst retaining good torque and tractability. The resulting engine gives over 170 bhp, but is perfectly drivable in city traffic. Full details of the engine build are available, these are the main points summarized:
